Eduard Braun

Hi all,

I don't know why they particularly chose me to write this message to, maybe somebody is interested / knows somebody?

Regards,
Eduard

Dear Eduard Braun,

Oparix, another user of the Inkscape web site, has sent you a personal message:

Inkspace Issues - AxiDraw3
================================================
Hello,

My name is Andrew and I read your bio on the Inkscape website. We're new to using Inkscape and we currently use it for pen plotting. The pen plotter we are using is called the AxiDraw3. Inkscape has been quite challenging to use at scale. We currently use Inkscape and our pen plotter to write handwritten cards. I understand that Inkscape is free but is there a paid consultant service we can use to help us streamline our business?
 I sincerely appreciate your time.

I check my email more than I check my messages on this forum so if you could respond back at [hidden email] that would be incredibly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

They chose me too!  Via PM on Inkscape Community. Said I had posted a message on
their forum (although I've never heard of, and can't find their forum).  Almost
identical message.

I responded by email.  (Thought maybe confused me with Bryce.)   I gave mailing
list info, and offered to put in touch with specific developer, if he could name
them.  But apparently he's just reaching out.

Re: Fwd: Message from User: Inkspace Issues - AxiDraw3 (request for "paid consultant service")

Hi Brynn, Eduard,

I get about 5-10 emails a week to the website administrator's email
address directly from users.

60% are asking for help with installing inkscape or using inkscape.
30% are replying to their registration emails to say "I'm real" or in
one case, their username and password (which was the same as their
gmail account of course)
5% are asking to sponsor inkscape, request redirection to an official
person.
1% are reporting an issue with the website

It's rare that users get such a request before the web admin, but as
long as we handle the requests in the best way possible. For requests
to engage a developer in contracted support, they can be emailed to the
mailing list I think, so active developers can contact the company and
offer their personal services if appropriate.

It's a good way to get money into developer's hands for improving
Inkscape. Especially if they're already contractors and are in the same
country as the company.

Best Regards, Martin Owens
